Holding the sticks with a proper grip is paramount in order to execute today’s repertoire. The same general principles governing our body’s set up also apply to the grip. We want as much of our wrist, hand, and fingers to be in as neutral position as possible. We also want to use the least amount of effort necessary to perform the task needed so we are as efficient as possible. Keeping our fingers in the proper position (on opposite sides of the stick) will greatly aid this.
